Applying A Screen-Printed Transfer With A Heat-Press
We recommend a heat press that you can change the temperature, and that reaches a max of 500 degree, there are hundreds of heat presses to choose from the heat press listed below is what we use personally for our garments.
Set Heat Press to 325-350 depending on your press. Start with a lower temp and increase if needed. Pre-Press the shirt/material to remove moisture. Center transfer on shirt/material and press for 5-7 seconds. Hot peel gently; if transfer has issues sticking, press for 2-3 more seconds.
Soft/High Heat Transfers: Set heat press to 350-375, set pressure to 60 PSI and press for 7 seconds. Hot peel gently; if transfer has issues sticking, press for 2-3 more seconds.
SCREEN PRINTS REQUIRE HEAVY PRESSURE. IT SHOULD BE SO HEAVY THAT IT IS HARD FOR YOU TO OPEN THE PRESS. YOU MUST HAVE A HEAT PRESS! THESE WILL NOT WORK WITH A HOME IRON OR EASY PRESS.
Do not use teflon or any kind of paper to cover the transfers. Screen prints do not require this.
